It's project financial model, estimating future income using forecast future metal prices. You don't use today's LME price to calc future income. Got it? It's professional approach, not misleading.....
Fundamentally, Sunrise needs lots of MONEY and convincing higher Ni PRICE to be viable. Macq Bank has trouble convincing informed investor to bing their cheque book.
Sunrise is not alone. Same happens to other laterite projects in WA and Qld. None of them has found serious backers for years. Those mines will remain on the drawing board for a long time unless Ni price spikes . Need Elon...
