    Special Report:
Respiri ‘kicks a ton’ with new Carlton Football Club AFLW team partnership.

Ehealth business Respiri (ASX:RSH) has taken its biggest mark yet for 2021, signing on with the Carlton Football Club’s AFLW team for the upcoming season.

The partnership announcement will see Respiri’s wheezo device and software-as-a-service (SaaS) monitoring system supported by Carlton’s AFLW team to bring awareness of the importance of asthma management to the forefront of the community.

Respiri CEO Marjan Mikel says the partnership aligns with their shared health and wellness values, while at the same time fits with some of their key target markets: young women and families.

“The Carlton Football Club AFLW team has wonderful leaders who have a commitment to health and are role models for kids,” Marjan Mikel said.

“With Respiri’s wheezo asthma management service, we’re targeting young families — parents who want more information about their children’s health condition and a better way to manage it in the real world.

“Respiri sees community as one of its core values which is why the decision to partner wheezo with the Carlton Football Club and the AFLW was a straightforward one commercially for the business.”

The AFLW has grown to be one of the best-supported female sport competitions in Australia, with over 4.1m fans nationwide.

The Carlton team is a foundation club in the growing competition, and set a record for domestic women’s sport attendees in Australia in 2019 with over 53,000 people attending the Grand Final.

Carlton Football Club CEO, Cain Liddle welcomed the partnership.

“wheezo is about improving health management for people living with asthma and the company’s philosophy perfectly aligns with the Carlton Football Club and our AFLW program. We look forward to having wheezo as a significant partner for our football club moving forward as we work to grow women’s football,” he said.

The ASX-listed respiratory health software-as-a-service (SaaS) company has been kicking partnership goals since February.

It has signed eight partnership or commercial deals since the start of April including with telehealth platform Phenix, buy-now-pay-later rocket Zip Company (ASX:ZIP), and most recently with the Australian Patients Association (APA).
