I see your point. May be he got too many 'free shares' and wanted to sell 1/3rd of his holding which depressed the share price following the announcement. Looking at his last two years remuneration, his base salary is over AU$2.5 million (reported in US dollars). Obviously it wasn't enough to pay the tax obligations or diversify into other sectors.
