short answer is the company is basically going to be 2x as big as it was before. operating synergies that will mean bigger profits in the next 2-3 years. therefore it could rise despite the offer. check out what happened to PBH on Friday. they announced a huge deal but a need to raise a lot of capital and the market liked that one.
