g'day @IsoscelesDancer.... your point on ASX losing their licence is a prime concern. What impacts would this have on the national economy as well as the lesser but vital issue of the ability for people to trade shares? one might hope that NSX is built to be capable of managing a massive transition of companies from a failed ASX to NSX. From where it is today NSX or wherever the next bourse is hosted wold need to be well-prepared.
And what of the holders of ASX? Sure some may be traders but some are retirees who rely on dividends for their sustenance.
imo such a shock to the Asx would do signifiant damage.
