Excuse my curiosity LED, but I'm also @LearningEachDay and am interested in options. I understand it conceptually (especially call options) but would be interested to learn practical strategy from an actual user.
I don't know how many options US$270k buys (and feel free not to share it), so let's assume it's XX number, and I'm interested in the strike price you bought them at. So assuming the strike is $20 for end of September, and the MESO price rockets to $30 next week, you have made $10 on top of the price of each of your options.
Is there a real choice, at $30, to be made at the end of September as to whether to just buy all the XX options at $20? What about at $10 (assuming the trial continues), would you buy them at $20 or just leave the options at the end of September? Or is buying options primarily a trading strategy, giving you leverage into as many units as possible (more than would cost you if you bought the same number of shares outright)?
This might not be appropriate for this thread, so maybe see you in the banter thread.
