Well said, has anyone heard of hedging a position before on this thread?
No one can predict price action 100% everytime and if your a fund manager who bought too high and wanted to protect his investors equity then shorting is a way of hedging against loss!
I use short covering nearly everyday in future tradn because I believe price will rise and it doesnt but I protect my longs with shorts.
There is no way anyone can manipulate BHP stock price and if they can its for very short term gain. Too many players in this to control this price action.
