The reverse argument could also be made for a major shareholder who has more capital (and therefore risk allocate) in the company. So they'd want a bigger slice for making that commitment. Anyway, just see how it plays out here but I strongly agree with $tockfella that selling the shares in the hope of getting them back via the SPP is a risky move.
