This doesn’t reduce your average. Maybe on the commsec app but in reality, you don’t reduce your average buy in if you buy and sell that 1m at the same price. Ie. you spend $30k on 1mill shares at 0.03 and buy $20k at 0.02. Your average on the commsec app would be 0.025, BUT if you sell that mill you bought for $20k at 0.02 again, then you’ve still paid $30k for that 1mill of shares you own. The only difference is that it now wrongly shows 0.025 on the commsec app. I hope that clarifies it for you.
