I can see that here is a lot of speculation whether or not this TH is for COVID or HIV related. Anyone who can read and has been following properly, will be aware that the pending news is about Biotron's compound testing on SARS-CoV-2, as this is the only such testing they are performing presently.
The compound testing as such on HIV, (and other non Covid diseases), which is using BIT225, is already a fait accompli. That work has moved to the next stage of development, which will be P3/partnerships etc.
Therefore we can safely summize that the present TH is about the ongoing testing on SARS 2, or for those new readers still in the dark, is the virus at the bottom of the pandemic (although there are many fools in the world who don't believe this either. But hopefully no one here).
The next question to answer is whether or not the C-19 compound testing is using BIT225. Most regulars here will probably agree that BIT225 has been tested against C-19, but we also definitely know that they have been testing other compounds too, as stated in their patent of December 2019, which lead to the initial post of this present thread.
My GUESS is that we will be hearing on Monday about a compound other than BIT225. It was other compounds in the patent that were referenced for testing coronaviruses (in that part of the patent to do with coronaviruses).
Personally, I think this will be a great outcome as it will result in Biotron having two notable compounds, one already well on the way to curing HIV; and the other potentially becoming an antiviral for treating a little disease known as COVID-19
