sorry I should have made myself more clear, I wasn't speaking about Chatswood or Sydney in general. I didn't realise there was so much variance between centres.
I'm in Brisbane and there is boom gates on exit and we have 3.5 hour free parking, the fee after isn't going to put you out of retirement either.
the 2 hours you mentioned is a bit rough but I feel the 3.5 hours I'm experiencing here is very reasonable.
I can't say anything on the app, I've never had it because iv never needed it and from what I gather it's only causing more pain than good at the moment.
I'm all for paying for parking. With system at my local, I think the positives outweigh the very minimal negatives.
