You are correct in your understanding Duke.
A biopsy of the BREAST LUMP is needed prior to the MRX scan. The reason for this is that HER2 receptor status needs to be determined before MRX.
If the cancer is HER2 negative then there is no point proceeding to MRX.
The “replacing biopsy” part comes in for axillary lymph nodes. The breast lump itself will always need to be biopsied.
