Speaking for myself my posts on this issue are about individual clerics or priests who promote the abuse of women. It is not about the religion persay. I would expect no meaningful religion would promote the abuse of women because if they did they will eventually peter out or be marginalised. There are a minority of misguided or power hungry people who try to use religion in an improper way.
