The main advantage would be to have a larger proportion of shares in safe hands. Assuming this is not a Hartleys or Patto’s raise, the SIs would be considered to hold longer term. When there is a high percentage of retail holders (us) in a stock it is more prone to panic selling at any hint of a drop in SP. This is not a hard and fast rule but a general market assumption.
Industry experts like Sprott or Creasy are even more highly sought as cornerstone investors.
