After an effective vaccine or herd immunity, the next best path is effective treatments for the symptoms, and hopefully for preventing or reducing long term damage caused by the virus in severely affected people. DMX-200 is being looked at for this.
May also be anti-viral drugs to lessen the impact of the disease.
And of course there's always the presidential solution.
