I also bought BBUS instead of afterpay, and shorted afterpay (just a few hundred dollars) to test out options. They flopped of course.
They say the markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent, I guess they're right. However I did short afterpay when it was at 90 recently and I've made gains there now.
it's a very tough game because you can never underestimate the lengths the Gov will go to prop up asset prices when fundamentally they should crash.
