Yes this what I find really difficult to reconcile. Look at the history , qualifications and ummm "pedigree" of management, look at the science, but then look at the actual performance of the trials (7 dogs) the time everything takes and the mundane communications.
Just doesn't seem to add up. I really think that only 7 dogs, despite the excellent results must be the problem. Elanco could not possibly ignore excellent results from 30 or 40 dogs but only 7 and they just walk away or at least use that to drive a better deal for themselves.
Now PAA have to tout around a "trial" of 7 dogs.
Not very impressive.
When they realized they were having trouble getting dogs why didn't they offer to pay the vets and dog owners to participate? So what if it cost $100 k ? It's cost a lot more now !
