My feeling is that the QLD government will want to announce the transmission line before caretaker mode. This is too great a political opportunity to not capitalise on. What's interesting is to line up the northern QREZ above with the last election results. Labor will want to consolidate those gains including improving their first preference votes which didn't quite get them 2PP and the seat. Also this sort of announcement won't just play well in FNQ but also in Metro Brisbane which labor would want to consolidate too.
