WTF?? They're stood down on full pay due to COVID and still want to strike? Some strange local politics going on here. Perhaps the side-benefits (graft) they make at work are substantial? Hard to figure the motivation otherwise. Perhaps the local union leader has the transport contract for these workers - or similar situation and is now missing out.
The last paragraph]h a tad melodramatic for such a company of this stature. Something like "The company will advise the market in due course regarding negotiations with the union and any potential impact on production and cost guidance for the FY 2020"
