1. yep - and we tried to bring in what should be the best - but, many resisted - and, now, Vic has dispatched a group to have a look at what NSW is doing - could they have done that earlier? yes, maybe - maybe not - there's an entire process that has to happen before you find issues and a potential solution elsewhere - problem solving doesn't just happen instantly
2. hmmmm - well depends on what you mean by vulnerable - if you are talking about aged care - it IS a federal responsibilty - so, yes there should be cooperation - but, any issues should be directed to the federal government - not the state
3. yes - that's clear - lets see what the inquiry brings out about that
4. yes - that's clear
5. hmmmm - depends on what area you are looking at - if you are thinking of using military troops for crowd and people control - well, many of us think that that's a last resort thing - ok to have military out fighting fires, floods and cleaning up messes ------ but, a totally different thing to have them controlling people - that's the philosophical argument - the practical argument is that private security people actually should be better trained and qualified for it really -- soldiers are soldiers - crowd control is not what they are trained for and if they have to do it they are in foreign lands in warlike conditions - not in the middle of an Ozzie city in a hotel - different animal - ditto manning roadblocks etc
6. hmmm - maybe ---------- that would be opinion - IMO - governments are elected to govern - IMO - in a crisis - oppositions should get out of the way and watch - if they can assist - ok, offer - but, the government should be allowed to work - it's why they were elected
7. in general yes ------ Andrews has taken full responsibility because it's his watch - lets see what mistakes were actually made when the reports come out on the inquiry --------- some of the bullshit stories of the breakdown have already fizzed - and, I don't see the point of leaders taking time to defend rumours and gossip - Andrews has dispatched a group to look at NSW contact tracing because it might be better - that's fine - the thing is - is it better? - we don't know - would it have held up with more cases to actually trace? - doubtful - we wait
8. oh yes - but, it's not just Victoria is it ------- who woulda thought that Peter Duttons border control didn't look after ships entering - not their role - but, their role is to sieze alligator handbags?????? go figure -------- Oz appears to have a lot of demarcation issues there

it's not rocket science or complex. some people think lockdown and curfew is needed and is great. from speaking to people it tends to be the much older retired set who which rightly are very scared. some people think lockdowns and curfews are the wrong approach and if you manage the condition eg like NSW - lockdowns are not needed. I tend to fall into the later camp and l see CSL seem to be saying that as well today they are questioning the approach in Victoria. we will know how it's going in 2022
