Had a long chat with Patrick yesterday regarding SI6 and spoke a little on DEG also.

For those that don't know our Chairman he is a very genuine, very intelligent guy who certainly has the experience and the connections to build a solid, sustainable and successful business for SI6.

He's also a director over at DEG who have had an unbelievable year - running from a low of 3.9c up to $1.50 only a few days ago!!!

DEG have done this off the back of a WA gold project - obviously this has some great synergies with the latest project SI6 has got a start on.

When speaking about the similarities Patrick was very confident in his own experience but also in the contacts he has from DEG and the industry in general to move Monument Gold Project forward.

One of my first questions was why did DCX let us grab MGP and the answer was simple. DCX already have numerous projects and limited capital and Patrick was on the hunt for that exact scenario, so they did a deal and now SI6 has the ability to advance it if it's viable.

Currently SI6 are reviewing the project and hope to be drilling later in the year (potentially at the same time as Botswana but more on that later).
Obviously drilling will start around the resource and look to increase that but Patrick has some high hopes for numerous target areas so exciting times ahead.

MGP may seem small now but no one gave the resource DEG have a chance and look whats happened there...

The next month they will have a lot more clarity moving forward on MGP.

One thing Patrick did make clear was the potential he sees in Botswana. He said there'd been a few people thinking that MGP was to replace Botswana. He said far from that.

As most of you know gold is running hot right now but the upside on silver in the coming years is just as bright, if not brighter. So they're looking forward to expand on some already very promising hits over there in conjunction with the established base metal resource.

When quizzed on current covid implications in Botswana, Patrick said like anywhere it's not ideal but it's certainly not as severe as many other countries. SI6 does have a guy on the ground over there and he has plenty to work on so theres still progress being made currently and should be able to kick off a drill program in the months ahead - potentially before or at the same time as WA (but I guess theres still a lot of uncertainty so no dates can really be given right now)

Regarding BCL liquidation, the liquidators are in constant contact with the company but for obvious reasons need to keep some cards close to their chest. So hopefully that'll be out of the way soon enough which will also move SI6 forward.

All in all, I'm very impressed with Patrick. He is a genuine, down to earth guy that has some great plans to increase SH returns in the months and years to come.

We are certainly in good hands...
