People need to read up on porphyry systems to understand whats going on. These are complex systems. Sure the assays reported today are low but thats not the point, they will be low until we approach and enter the porphyry core zone which is down there somewhere, you can go from zero to hero very quickly when in that vicinity. The core ( with high potassic levels) is where these systems show their full value. What dissapoints me at the moment is lack of detail on the rock geology as the drill penetrates downwards. All porphyry systems have a generic footprint, the argillic zone, the inner/outer propylitic zone , the inner/outer phyllic zone, the potassic zone, etc. We are not told where we are within this sequential arrangement at depth. Are we on the fringe ( sort of looks like it) , or are we well into one of these geological zones. Obviously management knows, but we don't. Compare for example the Stavely exploration announcements on their porphyry drilling at depth where very detailed geological observations were reported together with core photos ( for DD holes). Whatever, it takes time and lots of drilling to hit the bonanza area. To keep things keep things in perspective, remember that it took 10 holes or so locate the monster motherlode at the IOGC Olympic Dam deposit, and thats an elephant, and at the Cadia porphyry, our closest analogue, Newcrest was reported to be on the verge of giving up due low assays until the geo decided to extend a particular hole, and bammo, the motherlode was hit. That same geo is now employed by MAG.
