Everytime banks in the UK or US have trouble our banks follow suit! Today must be a telling sign that they will go lower. I would not be surprised to see a couple of the big 4 in single digits and CBA down to at least $15 - $18. IMO only.

I doubt very much that this will happen (maybe ANZ being the exception, but still doubt that) & even if it does it's comodotties (our miners) that have created the massive growth for Australia this century, not the banks.
If we are in for a severe recession it's because the government will miss out on all the tax they take from the miners, simple as that.
