You may well be right, Champ - although I personally would be expecting gold to follow its own trajectory sometime this year if it's going to break out in the way many are hoping. Reason being gold is an irrational play and functions well in irrational/sentimental markets as safe haven, alt-currency, anti-usd, inflation hedge, deflation hedge etc etc in a way that the more industrial metals do not. Silver may well be an exception.
I don't really play platinum though so am just thinking aloud.
