Doing nothing and copping it sweet is not an option, IMO. IMO we should be calling in our good US relationship and asking for a lazy $half trillion USD interest free loan to build the neccessary infrastructure to process our iron ore , starve China of supply and pump finished product into China's global customers. We just need the lollies; not the US entourage of equity opportunists! The USA is spending nearly a Trillion a year on armed forces & intelligence units primarily to wreck the Chinese economy as it did with the USSR. For this reason we dont want to be collateral damage while backing the USA in their anti-China quest. Trump is only interested in cutting Chinese deals (eg: January farm deal) ; not in decoupling.

With certainty we need to find new markets for our iron ore. Sending iron ore over to China only for it to be turned into submarines that will patrol our waters and having to spend tax dollars on more miltary toys, well it's all unproductive.
