whats peoples thoughts on the likelihood of woolies or coles group private and control label wines being floated on the b2b system? these guys already have massively entrenched systems for supply and sale of these products. would there be enough online purchasing of these products to make it a viable option for woolies or coles? these lines have massive GP% already so they can absorb extra costs to gain market share if required, and most of these lines are sold direct through woolies/coles group liquor stores and pubs/clubs/restaurants already. are there any other likely purchasers?
or could it be looked at another way, how much is real estate worth inside a woolies/coles DC? maybe in theory its cheaper to have dw8 run delivery of these items for a cost, while woolies/coles put that dc stock space to use in other ways?
thinking that if we have large 'anchor' suppliers we distribute for, then this would help drive future growth in both company and the SP. being involved with woolies/coles and all their respective clubs/pubs/restaurants equates to a lot of orders to be shipped.
