For mine, there is no smoking gun yet considerable steps have been taken to maintain this suspension and why? Are ASX that interested in ISX as a fintech start-up? This is a matter that's on the public record: ISX are seven and a half years into a twenty year patent for a novel and revolutionary payment system that had its genesis about 10 years ago. Clearly, the initial 'light bulb' moment would've been earlier. As most would know, intellectual property when utilized on an enormous global scale has substantial value. It will pique more than just a passing interest in companies competing in the same arena. Stating the obvious, there must be many entities interested in a computer-implemented method of verifying authorization of a transaction. I'm sure plenty of people know much more about this technological area than I do and would be better placed to determine the uniqueness of the ISX product and the number of bona fide competitors they would have.

Patent search engines are available for those interested, and particularly enlightening if you're looking at entities (who are obliged to be mindful of infringement issues) seeking a patent grant revolving around a similar product for their ongoing business.

you maybe onto something here. I have read through some of the patents in the past and in my view they are quite impressive.

My thinking/ my question is, do any of the patents (ie. methods and systems for processing payouts) restrict what ASX can do with regards to the CHESS replacement project.

What is the relationship between the digital ledger technology and clearing and settlements from an automated technology standpoint. Does what ASX plan to do, cross over into the patent.

Like you, I don't have much experience in the technology sector but it was just a thought that crossed my mind
