Graphene has an SSA of around 2630m2 per gram using BET method,

The reason I believe the surface area is slow low, is due to the pristine nature of the Graphene, (no defects) where the gas can be absorbed, It might also be related to the graphite being Sri Lankan Graphite, (baked at higher temp when formed)

This is an interesting little quora thread.
This is extract lead me to ask the question for helium storage and Graphene. Seems like FGRS Graphene is a good fit.
