Interesting that the company has specifically ruled out Abiomed making a bid. The company didn't deny that Abiomed was doing due diligence (as claimed in the Age article), but it sounds like Abiomed may not have liked what they saw (given the company has ruled out their interest).

Will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks - share price has kicked up today, even after the company's announcement.

Any deal will need to be approved by shareholders, so it will need to be really good to get shareholders to take action given the large shareholder base.

I don't hold, but watch with interest.
