Initially when I started searching about the Yarara Gold Project , Information was scarce. That's because there was very little exploration done plus they were separate tenements and held different names like Ournie, Jingellic, Rangatira , Billabong Rosewood, Lankeys Creek, Isabella Reef , Peep-O-Day reef etc etc They were joined together under one claim later as is it stands now. Now that I got my head around it and worked out the previous holders of the tenements , there is actually a lot more info. I'm just sifting through them at the moment, great info and very very encouraging. For example , in one grab sample there was 15oz/t (459g/t)!!!!

Also very important finds were the reasons for stopping production early days (eg. world war II, low gold price), relinquishment of the license (eg. uncertainty of the effect of Mabo in 1990's and company shifted all attention to Namibia Africa and changed name of Company to Namibian Copper Limited) , and/or sale of the tenements (eg. Endeavour Minerals Pty Ltd). These tenements are oozing GOLD.

    REPORT BY DAVID TIMMS

    SUMMARY
The EL7732 Rangitira tenement lies along an inherent suture that locally is known as the Yarrara
Shear Zone that Hosts the Yarrara Goldfield consisting of a series of predominantly gold based
mineral occurrences over a strike length of about fifty kilometres.
The Yarrara Goldfield occurs within Middle to Late Ordovician metasediments of the Wagga
Group in the northern portion of the Yarrara Shear Zone whereas the southern portion of the
Shear Zone predominantly occurs within intruded fractionated S-type granitic rocks largely of
    the Early Silurian Koetong Supersuite.
The northern portion of the Yarrara Goldfield deposits within the metasediments generally
appear to occur within narrow east-west striking quartz veins which are postulated to be the
result of tensional dilations along joint planes caused by movement within the Yarrara Shear
Zone. Chloritic alteration is commonly developed in the host rocks adjacent to the veins with
minor arsenopyrite and pyrite associations. Historical reports indicate that there were no
extraction problems associated with refractory sulphides
    .
The southern portion of the Yarrara Goldfield deposits occurring within the granites are
predominantly narrow quartz veins containing gold
. Gold mineralisation in this area is also
contained within narrow quartz veins (50mm to 600mm) but the vein orientations are variable,
both with individual veins and between veins.
The mineral occurrences were mostly identified and worked on by prospectors- cum miners in
the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The main gold deposits that were mined in the northern portion were the Billabong Gold mine, in
the extreme north of the tenement and closest to the town of Holbrook, the Rangatira Mine, Just
in Time mine and the Perseverance Mine plus the Four Mile Creek, Mountaineer and Unnamed
as indicated in Table 1 below:

In the South the main deposits were the Isabella and Peep-O-Day Reefs. However records of
their [production were limited by when the New South Wales Mines Department began recording
the production figures from 1875. The combined production of the two reefs would appear to be
in the order of seven thousand ounces of gold with no mention of silver for an average grade of
around forty eight grams per tonne. Both ore zones are characterised by greisenitic wallrock
alteration with abundant pyrite and arsenopyrite with minor copper, silver lead and zinc
    mineralisation.
In those days it was not worth mining and crushing the lower grade mineralisation in the altered
    wallrock associated the gold reefs
. However, these days with the gold price hovering around
$1600 per ounce it is well worthwhile sampling the wallrocks surrounding those old gold reefs
especially as they are still close to surface and easily mineable and the gold now more easily
    extractable.

The Peep-O-Day Reef extends for a strike length of approximately 1200 metres and the Isabella
    reef approximately 1,000 metres.
Other gold mines were the Minchins Gold Show, the Horse Creek gold veins , the Lankey’s
    Creek or Musgrave O.
In addition to the gold reefs there are other mineral occurrences particularly in the southern part
    of the tenement:
The Carboona Mineralisation was mined by BHP from 1918 to 1925 for fluorite with by- product
    lead and silver
The Musgrave tin tungsten lodes and associated alluvials were mined between1901 and 1929
    (probably at high cut-off grades).
The Horse Creek tin lodes were worked intermittently between1873 and1890.
In conclusion there are a great number of immediate targets associated with the old workings
that have demonstrated to be mineralised with gold and possibly other associated metals such
as silver (lead, zinc and tin and tungsten) that deserve to be followed up with detailed modern
exploration techniques including soil geochemistry (assaying now down to parts per trillion),
magnetics ,gravity and Induced polarisation together a sophisticated array of downhole
geophysical probes measuring many different physical properties.

The main targets will be to find wider widths of lower grade gold in the wallrocks of the gold reefs
together with high grade gold in extensions along strike and at depth

Historical mining occurred in the late 1880s and early 1900's and relatively little exploration has
    occurred since.

Now read the potential for bulk grade deposits potential just like Cadia and North Parkes, and remember we are on the Lachlan Fold Belt with similar geology to them.

    7. EXPLORATION POTENTIAL
Twenty or more old mines and prospects occur over a curvilinear zone over 50km in length in
the Rangatira area. Many of the areas have been investigated individually but the zone has not
been investigated as a single entity. A complete review of the entire zone is warranted to
evaluate the potential for this type of mineralisation, particularly in terms of the occurrence of
one or more bulk low grade deposits.

now remember how I refered to the de-watering of the mines and assays of 90g/t came back? have a look at this :

The deeper mines were worked to recorded depths of around 40m at Rangatira and 65m at Perseverance. The mines
    were wet,
with records showing that Rangatira required larger pumps than were initially
available. Recovered grades were variable, with some crushings giving grades varying from 11
    pennyweights per ton
(16.5g/t) up to 15oz/t (459g/t). In part this may have been extraction
difficulties, as the gold was noted to be very fine in places, although visible gold is also noted in
    the records.
