re: Ann: Rio Tinto Alcan sale of stake in Nin... The big gain today was probably a bit overdone but I will take it. The sale may have been viewed by some as a relief that there still are options of asset sales at reasonable prices in the curent climate. RIO probably needs a few more of these to calm the market about their debt position.
Also resources prices had a couple reasonable days and the ASX was oversold on Friday which all helped in todays gains.
