The magic number "50%" refers to, if you are faced with an even money bet, and the payout is above the payout you would expect for such a bet.
ie if a security is at a buck, and you feel there is a 1 in 30 chance of it reaching $100, then the potential payout is greater than the risk you take.
Whether you take the bet, will be determined by what you feel the odds/payout parameters are.
This applies to all share buying, the numbers are just more extreme.
If you feel there is no value possible in BNB etc, don't play.
