You said: "Ronstern - do you have any examples of what you classify as being "political correct" in Australia and why in opposition, you would prefer as a strategy, to incite racial violence?"
in reply to your question re PC in Oz I only say look around. Find the limits of "acceptable"(or "responsible" or other such label) and see what reactions you get to "unacceptable" opinions when you step over that line.
If you want examples, just look at current attitudes on such things as multiculturalism, war, "terrorism", racism, nationalism, feminism, environmentalism, child rearing, etc etc . A good rule of thumb would be the ABC is very PC, so anything broadcast will be a reflection of those attitudes. There isn't much real debate on the ABC. I still love the ABC but I put in a PC correction factor.
As for the second part of the question, I wonder why you choose to characterise it in those terms as a "strategy to incite racial violence"
I just call it free speech(which we are in the process of losing). I agree with the sentiments of the T shirts as crass as they may be, and see no need to apologise for that. It's not a strategy, just a right.
As for your other post which mentioned Enoch Powells " rivers of blood" speech that called him a racist, was he a racist, prescient or both??
Hi Towie,
Why should the sellers of the T shirts be charged? Who really has the right to censor what anyone says or believes??
