    A would call a contrarian as someone who is more likely to go the opposite way to the majority in their prediction of something that WILL happen. I have heard more times than not they are right by doing this.
    However if someone goes against something that is happening NOW, they are also going against the wise old saying of 'let the trend be your friend.' So a better word for him/her would be 'fool.'

    You talk of 'frenzy' that will be happening 'soon.' as thought the end of this gold bull market is just around the corner. No way.
    Signs to look for are a bull market blow-off. Sounds a bit smelly, but that's what it is called. Look at the chart of the last few days of the last one in Jan 1980. At that time people were either lining up to buy bullion from bullion dealers (they won't be able to do that this time) or selling grandmother's old silverware to smelters.
