That was during development of the Shambesai project in Kyrgyzstan before they ran into licensing and community issues. We probably (almost certainly) sunk too much money trying to develop that project rather than sell it off once we'd found a resource. Shareholders didn't get any value for the money spent on development.

Once we sold the Shambesai project we had a brief foray into Tanzania with the Victoria Gold Project. That all fell over when the Tanzanian government change their mining laws over night. That was pretty disappointing as my old man thought that had real prospectivity.

And then we ended up where we are in Cote d'ivoire.

Along the way I know some projects in South East Asia were looked at. It was also suggested to invest some cash in DEG when they were strapped. But the board rejected that idea. What a good call that would have been in hindsight.
