What is the financial impact of 10 E190s not operating until demand dictates?
I don't believe they will not be operating them, and just parking them up. They will rotate them to get usage out prevent expensive stagnant maintenance. They will also look at parking a 2nd spare jet at busy airports, in case one goes U/S (falls over due maintenance defect) so that they can still fulfil their contracts on critical routes. They will get used somehow, and Alliance will be very smart about where they station the jets for quick response usage.
The trips to snow based destinations didn't take off this year, but I bet next year there will be a demand for this.
