The races that have come to Australia and thrived have been those that have adopted Australian culture and made an effort to integrate and learn the English language.
I have travelled to France and Italy as a tourist. After many encounters with rude locals, I made every effort to speak the language and adopt a position of "this is their country and I am a guest here." It worked.
