Arguably wood chips are a renewable fuel in that you can burn them and regrow/replace them relatively quickly.
That said, I don't agree with simply planting trees to burn them. As a waste product, yes. As plantations simply for burning, no.
I believe there are better ways to produce energy.
But hey, that's what you get when you get half arsed policies and businesses are forced to make their own decision without guidance.
