No, IMO , its a wider market, if your offgrid & have no desire to upgrade your solar controller/s but your LA batteries are finished then being able to slot a GEN3 or two into an existing setup is an advantage. Saving in new equipment and time installing rewiring configuring etc.
However the newer electronics are highly configureable and there are loads of advantages to investing in new, so its not a big window of opportunity.
Having said that being able to adjust output voltage means a Gen3 could replace a lithium system too....which might seem odd, but lifepo4 has a lot of electronic management to make it work safely and durably....i can imagine scenarios where you would go a Gen 3 system because youve had enough of a lifepo4 system going wrong
I think in the end , having flexibility is the name of the game and a competitive advantage
