Realistically for a company like Samsung to integrate the Akida IP into their next phone will only be don after they are satisfied that the technology is working in a chip. That is why the Akida chip is so important to them. They will need to do their own testing to qualify the technology and satisfy themselves that the technology works and that the power claimed are within speck and that the solutions they tested in the simulator work in silicon. Then they may invest the tens of millions of dollars in integration and IP purchase.
So realistically we are at least 6 months away from this point in time.
Also if I was one of these companies I also would not want my competitors to know what I was up to, so I would get BRN to sign an NDA stoping them disclosing my name until at least the point when I start marketing the new phone (device).
For a company that can use the Akida chip as a chip in their device, the time line can be shorter as they will have the chip now or in the next 2-4 weeks.
However they will still have to wait for the mass production to start before they can start their manufacturing. So maybe 4-6 months away at best.
These companies may also have an NDA that will prevent announcing their name for commercial reasons, so we may not hear anything until after the fact.
The only sort of announcements that I am expecting from the company in the next 2-4months are:
Baseline testing of the chip:- Power consumption detailed
- Performance details
- Environmental details at load etc..
- Benchmark testing; against accelerator solutions, cpu solutions etc...
- Benchmarks for learning; time effort amount of data needed, accuracy etc..
More partnership announcements: Companies developing their products and wishing to leverage the Akida chip
Progress with existing works- Artificial Nose (can't remember the name) to smell cancer, Covid, etc...
- Others?
Industry awards- Most innovative product at a show
- Lowest power AI
- etc
The market is always correct in the long term, but it jumps from overboot to oversold in the short term.
The market is forward looking, but we attracted the wrong crowd in droves to BRN.
Day traders that don't have the time, and are not interested in the company per-say, but jump onboard looking for a quick $.
So the SP went up too fast and came down when they exited.
Add in some bigger players pushing it down to get in cheeper.
Add in some short sellers who see the hype and are also looking for a quick $.
Add the payed downrampers that create the momentum of bad sentiment and even dislodge the LT holders.
Add the bad people that like to bag anything because they have some issues, and really need help
So we know the chip works, which is wonderfull news, which puts the company into a new phase of growth
The price went down, but if you are an investor in this company you should have a longer view then 6-12months
No change in company direction or sentiment, with $$ in the bank and expending the sales and pre-sales team.
They are exhibiting the product, one day after validating the product works! Cant work any faster than that.
For me, based on the above, I see nothing but green signals because I am an Investor not a trader.
