to be fair Israel was riled up by Nasser,the then Egyptian playboy leader by saying his intentions were to destroy Israel.
Sure not a nice thing to say, but not sufficient provocation to mount a war.
To say Israel was not armed or prepared is not truthful.For 10 years prior Israel had been rearming itself. At the time it was aligned with Russia then a superpower and also buying the latest anti-aircraft missiles from the US.
