It's impossible for us to gauge what goes through a person's mind when he/she is under immense stress but he will have to live with this act for the rest of his life.
But why did his wife refuse him access to his children when he returned from overseas as reported in The Australian today, which may have triggered this terrible act (this is not meant to excuse his actions)?
