I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is a retired B-777 Captain who used to fly for Emirates before entering the corporate aviation sector. He's of the opinion that commercial aviation is ruined for at least one whole generation (25 years). Things will return, but not to 2015-2019 highs for a very long time. Take that how you like, but there will still be many people who are itching (like myself) to pack a suitcase and fly somewhere when this mess is over. But for every one like me, there is one who is happy to stay at home for the foreseeable future.
FLT can easily run back to $20, but for those who got in at above $40, there will be a very long wait.
