Unfortunately what drove this man into a blind rage is probably a feeling of hopelessness and lack of power, contrary to what some seem to think.
I have the perfect example of a father on a power trip and it's the exact opposite situation to what we're talking about here. He made my friend's life hell because he knew how to manipulate people and work the system, even though it's normally slanted towards the mother. I would like to tell the story, but it would be too easy to identify the person. A very rare case indeed.
