For starters the Labs always cried that the Howard handouts should have been means tested, in that part I agree.
The Labs also argued that the baby bonus was not going where it should because the one off payments were to easy to blow! Yet they then hand out money, 8 billion in fact, to who ever fell into a particular category that WAS NOT MEANS TESTED and as ONE OFF PAYMENTS!
The Libs strangely and suddenly found the common sense in not making on mass pay outs and despite their shared hypocrisy with the Labs in having a turn of foot, they are currently holding the view I hold although I also believe if the handouts were means tested I think I could be happy. So in that regard I share a different view to the Libs.
Both parties are wearing the others shoes at the minute. My view remains the same. How about yours?
