Didn't directly drill test the soil geochem anomaly, I can see that the RC holes were designed to drill test "down dip" based on an assumption that any mineralization is stratiform and that the mineralisation extends down dip, but what if those assumptions are wrong? Another drill hole directly into the geochem anomaly would have given them an answer, either surficial enrichment in the Wiluna hardpan (possible oxide or carbonate shallow zones?) or maybe a steeper dip than expected in the host Kiangi Siltstones?
View attachment 2491982Either way an angled hole directly into the guts of the soil anomaly may have been useful - seeing as they had the rig out there anyway, its only another 100m or so of RC. I can see their reasoning for drilling the other holes, but I'm just curious as to why they also didn't directly drill test the Zinc anomaly as well? That way if it was some localised little weird superficial enrichment, maybe a recent karst or maybe some other structural zinc zone in a different orientation they would have known.
Fine grained pyrite logged in holes so its still possible that there could be fine grained sphalerite with the pyrite but may be fairly low grade like some of the other holes along strike.
