Just to clarify my earlier post, when I take about Chinese involvement to skew things in their favor I mean on an international level i.e. I mean The Chinese Communist Party not individuals.

No disrespect meant about Chinese as a people, I like them and love the food..

But nobody does the bully job quite as well as the Chinese Communist Party, and they are lending money (Belt and Road) all over the developing world and this will mortgage these mainly African and poorer Asian countries for many years to come. So Im glad Chile can stand on its own two feet and is fiercely independent.
