So the CEO should have no accountability and yet pay himself 500K per year salary?
The ASX is not all sunshine and rainbows and CEO's need to be accountable.
ASX:SAS Springs to mind if you don't know - I'm sure there were people who just said "She'll be right" and gave the "Benefit of the doubt" of good things to come; All the while the CEO played investors and eventually drove the company into administration.
