Great stuff AD. Dont mean to blurt at you as that is no longer socially responsible and lacks a certain etiquette (have even donned my mask while I type this message) so just adding a couple of thoughts.

Understand your suggesting "the dog thing" is just a stepping stone to human cancer however, the Elanco deal was based on dogs and when it fell over so did the confidence in the strategy of the business. Suggest it is "the dog stepping stone" progression that initially needs a clear and concise statement regards way forward. We can argue all day long about why the Elanco deal fell over however it is a simple fact that is was not because the product fell over - perhaps it may have required further testing or perhaps this was simply the reason given, but it did not fail. If as you (correctly) suggest "the dog thing" is a stepping stone to human cancer then logically potential investors are going to want a clear message as to how "the dog thing" is being progressed - and I would suggest we have a number of clues that it is being progressed - JUST NOT A CLEAR STATEMENT FROM OUR ILLUSTRIOUS LEADERS AS YET.
My experience is that unless or until that situation is made clear, serious investors (and frankly day punters) will not have sufficient reason to invest. Hopefully the 402+ will retain enough confidence / emotion or whatever drives us, to stay the course, in the firm belief that the management knows what they are about but for whatever reason have chosen not to bring us / the market along with them at this point in time.

Yes it is causing many of us a certain degree of frustration however, like you, I am going back to looking at the fundamentals and the core one of these for me is that "the dog thing", just like Bella, is still alive and well - as I hope (and would like conformation for) are the dogs that played such an important roll in the latest phase II trial !! This being the case, the rest will play itself out all in good time. GLTAH
