I normally fish the North Island around the Taupo district ...I particularly like the Waimarino and the Tauranga-Taupo for the smaller rivers and off course the mighty Tongariro . Would have just returned from my 2 weeks at the Creel Lodge in Turangi , but obviously no travel atm.
I have fished the South Island a few times , but mostly the western rivers ...never had the privilege of chasing the ocean trout ...
